Ending and Beginning: February 16 - February 22

To conclude the session, participants will reflect on their experiences and achievements over the six weeks. On Sunday, we will gather in Elluminate to formally close the session. As fellow teaching professionals, we will look toward fostering our learning through engaging in communities of practice such as Webheads in Action and Learning with Computers. Those interested may also choose to continue the Enhancing Lessons community of practice through the investigation of a new web tool.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of Week 6, participants will be able to: 

1) Provide evidence of web 2.0 lesson planning know-how and demonstrate learning through a reflection on the session posted to their blogs.

2) Discuss how their lesson plans will be applied in classes (YG).     

3) Investigate what a community of practice is, consider the value of membership and determine whether one is suited to their continued exploration of technology and web tools.

4) Opt to investigate a new web tool as an extension of the Enhacing Lessons community of practice.

Activities 

In this week, participants will:

• Complete their lesson plan on one of the tools highlighted in the session

• Post it to their blog
• Visit other participants' blogs and comment on their lesson plans
• Post their thoughts on how they will apply their lesson plans in their classes to the YG
• Consider joining the Webheads in Action or Learning with Computers Yahoo! Groups
• Consider volunteering to investigate a new web tool as part of the ongoing Enhancing Lessons community of practice.
• Join one of the Saturday sessions to discuss their lesson plan ideas and join the end of session 'party'. Click here to attend the Elluminate session.
• Give us feedback on the session by completing the online questionnaire
